On 2007-10-17, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published a recall regarding Cool Clip; and Mini Cool Clip; Bookmarks due to a potential lead poisoning hazard. This product sold new beginning in April 2003 for about $4.00.

What is the problem?

Paint on the clip of the bookmarks contains excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard.

How can I tell if I own this product?

This recall involves various designs of the Cool Clip and Mini Cool Clip bookmarks.

These items were sold new+ at Book, card and gift stores nationwide from April 2003 through October 2007 for about $4.

What should I do if I own this recalled product?

First, stop using the item.

Consumers should immediately take the bookmarks away from children and contact Antioch Publishing for a refund.
