On 2018-10-04, the FDA announced that Johnston County Hams is conducting a recall on Country Ham Biscuits And Cocktail Ham Biscuits due to possible contamination with listeria. The recalled products were sold under the brand name(s) Callie's Charleston during an unspecified time period throughout the regions shown in the map below.

In recent months, there have been 28 food recalls due to potential contamination, including ready-to-eat ham products, macadamia nuts and more. Additionally, there have been 39 food recalls due to other health hazards as well as 33 drug and medical device recalls.

Johnston County Hams, Inc. issued a voluntary recall on October 3, 2018 for approximately 89,096 pounds of ready-to-eat ham products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. In response, Callie's Charleston Biscuits, LLC is issuing a voluntary product recall for two products that may contain the potentially affected Johnston County Hams. Read More.
