Recall: Club Car Utility Vehicles
On 2012-04-10, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published a recall regarding Club Car Utility Vehicles due to a potential crash hazard. This product sold new beginning in April 2011 for about $6000 to $11000.

This was the 5th recall of products in the Hunting & Utility Vehicles, incld ROV category in 2012.
Since 2005, there have been approximately 40 similar recalls,
involving about 300,000 product units.

What is the problem?
The brake pedal mounting blocks can crack and separate, resulting in a loss of braking ability, resulting in a crash.
How can I tell if I own this product?
The recalled vehicles are various sizes, models and colors of model year 2012 gas and electric powered utility and transport vehicles used for short-distance transportation. The vehicles can be identified by model and serial number. The serial number is above and to the right of the accelerator pedal. A list of recalled models and serial numbers is below.

Note: Similar recalls were announced on Club Car vehicles in June 2011, in November 2010, in August 2007 and in January 2005.
These items were sold new+ at Authorized Club Car dealers nationwide in April and May 2011 for between $6,000 and $11,000

Club Car has not received any reports of the brake pedal mounting blocks breaking. No injuries have been reported.
