What is the problem?
Without the latch system, the seat may be more difficult to properly secure and in the event of a vehicle crash, the child may not be adequately protected and is at an increased risk for injury.
How can I tell if I own this product?
Dorel Juvenile Group (DJG) is recalling certain infant child restraints, models IC124FSM (Onboard 35) and IC123FSM (Comfy Carry), produced from May 2011 through April 2012, that were sold without the separate seat base that contains the required latch attachment assembly. Without the latch assembly, these units fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, "Child Restraint Systems."
