Recall: Fit & Active Chocolatey Chip Protein Meal Bars


On 2017-11-27, the FDA announced that Leclerc is conducting a recall on Chocolatey Chip Protein Meal Bars due to possible contamination with foreign matter. The recalled products were sold under the brand name(s) Fit & Active during an unspecified time period throughout the regions shown in the map below.

In recent months, there have been 48 food recalls due to potential contamination, including guacamole, adobo with cumin seasoning; adobo with pepper seasoning and more. Additionally, there have been 70 food recalls due to other health hazards as well as 20 drug and medical device recalls.

Additional information provided by the

Leclerc Foods has initiated a limited voluntary recall of a single lot of Fit & Active Chocolatey Chip Protein Meal Bars packages with UPC Code 41498-18695 and only affected products with a "best by" date of May 24, 2018. The recall was initiated as a precautionary measure after a small piece of yellow plastic was discovered by a consumer. No illness or injury has been reported. Read More.
