On 2017-12-13, the USDA announced that Santa Fe Importers is conducting a recall on Ready-To-Eat Pork Products due to possible contamination with extraneous material . The recalled products were sold under the brand name(s) Genoa Salami Italian Brand during an unspecified time period throughout the regions shown in the map below.

In recent months, there have been 50 food recalls due to potential contamination, including bibi frutix candy, comforts for baby purified water with fluoride and more. Additionally, there have been 67 food recalls due to other health hazards as well as 15 drug and medical device recalls.

Santa Fe Importers, Inc. a Long Beach, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 143 pounds of pork salami products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal shavings, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
