On 2016-07-14, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published a recall regarding Home Source Floor Lamps due to a potential fire and shock hazard. This product sold new beginning in February 2016 for about $60.

What is the problem?

The lamps can short circuit due to defective sockets, posing fire and shock hazards.

How can I tell if I own this product?

This recall involves brown metal floor lamps with alabaster glass shades. They are illuminated with a single 100-watt light bulb and measure about 70 to 72 inches tall. The model numbers LMP4229, LMP4168 and LMP10771 can be found on the label at the bottom of the lamps.

These items were sold new+ at Small retail stores located in the New York metropolitan area and online at Amazon.com, Houzz.com, Target.com and Wayfair.com from February 2016 to April 2016 for about $60.

What should I do if I own this recalled product?

First, stop using the item.

Incidents & Injuries Reported as of Recall Date

Home Source has received three reports of the lamp’s sockets burning and smoking. No injuries have been reported.
