On 2010-11-22, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published an updated recall regarding Mastex Twin Foot Warmers due to a potential burn hazard. This product sold new beginning in September 2006 for about $40.00. It was originally recalled on 2007-04-03.

What is the problem?
The wiring in the foot warmer has a defect which can cause it to overheat. This poses a burn hazard to consumers.
How can I tell if I own this product?
The recall includes model 400 twin foot warmers with date code FO4. The date code is located on the switch and the model number is written on the blanket. Model 405 full size foot warmers are not included in the recall.
These items were sold new+ at Specialty and gift catalogs nationwide from September 2006 through October 2006 for about $40.
What should I do if I own this recalled product?
First, stop using the item.

Mastex has received five reports of foot warmers overheating. No injuries have been reported.
