In recent months, there have been 61 food recalls due to potential undeclared ingredients, including dark chocolate products, chicken and pork products and more. Additionally, there have been 45 food recalls due to other health hazards as well as 23 drug and medical device recalls.

In cooperation with the GKI Foods LLC recall of dark chocolate products due to an undeclared milk allergen, Meijer is voluntarily recalling select Meijer branded bulk dark chocolate. This recall is an extension of the GKI Foods LLC recall announced on October 27, 2017. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. Read More.
