On 2018-11-23, the FDA announced that Ottogi America is conducting a recall on Jin Ramen due to possible undeclared egg. The recalled products were sold under the brand name(s) Ottogi during an unspecified time period throughout the regions shown in the map below.
In recent months, there have been 33 food recalls due to potential undeclared ingredients, including chocolate and nut tray, poultry products and more. Additionally, there have been 57 food recalls due to other health hazards as well as 27 drug and medical device recalls.

Ottogi America, Inc. of Gardena, California announced today it is recalling 1lb 5.16ounce of Jin Ramen Mild 5pk. (Best Before Aug. 19th 2019) and Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk. (Best Before Aug. 20th 2019) due to undeclared egg as an ingredient on the packages. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Only Jin Ramen Mild 5pk. printed "BEST BEFORE AUG.19.2019" and Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk. printed "BEST BEFORE AUG.20.2019" have been recalled, which were delivered to retail stores nationwide. The "BEST BEFORE" date can be found on the front of the package. No other products of any other size or similarity were affected.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. Distribution and selling these products have been suspended until FDA and the company are certain that the problem has been corrected. Canadian Food Inspection Agency(CFIA) announced that the products may contain egg which is not declared on the label.
Consumers who have purchased 1lb 5.16ounce of Jin Ramen Mild 5pk (Best Before Aug. 19th 2019) or Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk.
