On 2013-02-07, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published a recall regarding Ski-Doo Snowmobiles due to a potential fire hazard. This product sold new beginning in March 2012 for about $8000 to $12000.

About 10,000 units are involved in this Bombardier (BRP) snowmobile recall. Instance(s) of fires have been reported.

What is the problem?

The fuel pump inlet fitting can come into contact with the oil tank and break, leading to a fuel to leak, which poses a fire hazard.

Instance(s) of fires have been reported.
