On 2013-02-07, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published a recall regarding Ski-Doo Snowmobiles due to a potential fire hazard. This product sold new beginning in March 2012 for about $8000 to $12000.

About 10,000 units are involved in this Bombardier (BRP) snowmobile recall. Instance(s) of fires have been reported. Learn more and find out what to do if you own this product below.

What is the problem?

The fuel pump inlet fitting can come into contact with the oil tank and break, leading to a fuel to leak, which poses a fire hazard.

Instance(s) of fires have been reported.

These items were sold new+ at Ski-Doo dealers nationwide from March 2012 through January 2013 from about $8000 to $12,000.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact a BRP dealer to schedule a free repair. BRP has notified registered consumers directly about this recall.

Incidents & Injuries Reported as of Recall Date

The firm has received three reports of fires. No injuries have been reported.
