What is the problem?
The fire pit spark screen can catch fire when it comes into direct contact with a flame, posing a burn and fire hazard to consumers.
Instance(s) of fires have been reported.
How can I tell if I own this product?
The recalled Sean Conway spark screens act as a cover over the top of a copper fire pit that sits in a black, three-legged stand. The spark screens have an item number of 525-90-0800 and a UPC number of 97169934567. The Sean Conway Fire Pit is not included in this recall.
These items were sold new+ at Marshall Field's stores in Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and one store in Wisconsin, and on the company's Web site from January 2004 through May 2004 for about $50.

Consumers should stop using the spark screens immediately and return them to any Marshall Field's store for a full refund.

Incidents & Injuries Reported as of Recall Date
Marshall Field's has received three reports of the spark screen catching fire. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
