On 2018-07-06, the USDA announced that Tillamook Country Smoker is conducting a recall on Beef Jerky Products due to possible undeclared monosodium glutamate (msg), sodium. The recalled products were sold under the brand name(s) Tillamook Country Smoker during an unspecified time period throughout the regions shown in the map below.

In recent months, there have been 33 food recalls due to potential undeclared ingredients, including hamburger buns, 3+2 soda crackers and more. Additionally, there have been 46 food recalls due to other health hazards as well as 28 drug and medical device recalls.

Tillamook Country Smoker, LLC, a Bay City, Ore. establishment, is recalling approximately 102 pounds of ready-to-eat beef jerky products due to misbranding, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The beef jerky products may contain monosodium glutamate (MSG) that is not declared on the finished product labels. Read More.
