Recall Summary: | USER MANUALS SENT WITH THESE TRAILERS INCORRECTLY STATE THE VALUES FOR THE WHEEL LUG NUT TORQUE. |
Hazard: | IN THE EVENT THAT THE LUG NUTS ARE TORQUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INCORRECT INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THE MANUAL, THE LUG NUTS WILL NOT BE TORQUED PROPERLY PRIOR TO TOWING OF THE TRAILER. IMPROPERLY TORQUED LUG NUTS MAY LEAD TO BROKEN STUDS AND WHEEL DETACHMENT. A CRASH MAY OCCUR RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURIES. |
Remedy: | JLG WILL MAIL TO DEALERS AND OWNERS A NEW USER'S MANUAL. THE RECALL BEGAN APRIL 6, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JLG INDUSTRIES AT 877-554-7233. |
